Wade - Linear Drainage - EN1433 & CE Regulations

Drainage Gratings - Floor Gullies - Roof Drainage - Drainage Products

Wade Drainage

We are pleased to advise that, after type-testing supervised by BSI, Wade standard channels and gratings conform to BS EN 1433.

To achieve this it has been necessary to increase slightly the width of certain gratings to ensure that all slots are a minimum of 5mm.

We will continue to offer gratings of non-standard sizes and with slots of less than 5mm width; these will be subjected to the same rigorous testing per EN 1433, but will bear the CE mark.

Please note that henceforth custom-made channel of exceptional design or construction, must be type-tested before being placed on the market; this includes load testing after installation in concrete for a minimum of 28 days.

All Wade channels and grating will be CE compliant and will bear the CE mark; those that conform to EN1433 will also be marked with EN 1433.

From 1st July 2013 construction products subject to a harmonised standard must comply with CE regulations and bear the CE mark.

At Wade this applies to linear drainage – other Wade drainage products are not covered by a harmonised standard so do not require CE marking.
