Fläkt Woods is proud to be one of the two main sponsors of one of Colchester’s biggest charity events for 2013 in aid of the NSPCC, The Emerald Ball.

The Emerald Ball will be held at the Firstsite building on Saturday, November 16 with a  Willy-Wonka themed event. Infusions of sweets and candy-inspired decorations, as well as a host of exciting entertainment, including its also usual mix of casino tables, caricaturists and circus performers and already has over 100 people pre-booked to attend.

Chairwoman Katie Skingle said: “In previous years, we’ve had great food and dancing and last year raised over £8,000 for local NSPCC projects. The first ball took place in 2008 and became an annual event. We’re looking forward to another spectacular evening and are grateful to all of our supporters.

"Every year we add more value to the evening making it a fun-filled social occasion and all for a very worthy local cause. Firstsite is an amazing facility and we’re proud to be holding our event there again.”

The two main sponsors for this year are Fläkt Woods and Firstsite. Allan Hurdle, Managing Director of Fläkt Woods, said: “It is our pleasure to sponsor this well-known charity event and we look forward to working with the Colchester NSPCC Business Group.”

Wayne Warner, Firstsite's Commercial Director, commented: "We are delighted to welcome back the Emerald Ball this year to Firstsite. Year on year, this event helps raise significant funds to support the work of the NSPCC and local children.”

The Emerald Ball is run by the Colchester NSPCC Business Group as a way of reaching out to local businesses to help children in the area. All the money raised goes directly to the Colchester branch of the NSPCC to support their work to end cruelty to children. This year they aim to raise monies to enable counsellors to go into Colchester schools and aid children who are being bullied.

Further tickets are available for £75 each from KAT Marketing.
