AET - New Features for AET Flexible Space Fantile Controller

Underfloor Air Conditioning - Air Conditioning - Air Conditioning Distribution

AET Controller

AET Flexible Space has introduced an upgraded controller for their world leading Fantile unit this month. The fan terminal unit, or ‘Fantile’ sits at the heart of the AET Flexible Space under floor air conditioning system. Recessed into the floor in place of a standard 600mm floor panel; it supplies conditioned air into the work space directly from the floor plenum.

The AET Flexible Space system has proved to be one of the most efficient and adaptable air conditioning solutions for office and work places worldwide. It’s simple design and modularity offers efficient operation, enhanced by a high degree of user control, enabled by the integral on board controller.

The FatronicE controller has been developed alongside the fantile unit to meet the demanding energy efficiency targets in the London office market. The upgraded controller offers functions to operate AC or EC fans with 0-10v adjustment of fan voltage for EC fan control, minimum fan speed setting for heating, a run on feature for electric heating, setting of master/slave function, amongst others.

The controller offers four configurations of fan speed, free user adjustment, locked fan speed, automatic fan speed selection according to room temp and set point, and a default fan speed function that permits user adjustment but reverts to the commissioned setting at start up each morning. Users have ten fan speed selections available, and the temperature set point can be adjusted between 18 and 28 degrees C. The FatronicE can also be controlled remotely by Internet Protocol via LAN.

All controllers feature an LCD backlit display indicating selected fan speed, room temp, set point, heating/cooling mode, and alarm indication. Each floor recessed fantile unit (XTU) and the floor standing Console Terminal Unit (CTU) is fitted with an integral controller as standard.
