SIG Design & Technology - New RIBA CPD Seminar: A Structured Approach to Roof Specification & Design

Roof Waterproof Systems - Single Ply Roofing - Green Roofs

SIG Merlin

SIG Design & Technology’s new CPD Seminar, ‘A Structured Approach to Roof Specification & Design’ has been approved by the RIBA CPD Providers’ Network. The new seminar answers two very Frequently Asked Questions: How do I choose the right roofing system for my project? And - how can I make sure the system I specify will meet my client’s requirements?

The new seminar sets out a step by step process to help you arrive at the best solution covering; how to establish the client’s brief, how to ensure compliance, and how to make the right cost decisions.

The CPD also introduces a series of specific, generic roof waterproofing systems, including single ply, hot melt, liquid applied systems, green roofing options and zinc, outlining their benefits and looking at typical scenarios. It addresses common problems with detailing, compatibility and interfaces, and how to avoid them. There’s a checklist of what manufacturer support to expect, both technically and on site, plus advice on compliance with British Standards and Codes of Practice. The 60min seminar qualifies for double CPD points.
