Schneider Electric, the architects of efficiency, will be discussing the principles of smart water networks and the benefits of big data management next month at the Water Conference 2013.

The conference, running on 12th-13th November, will be held at the Hilton Tower Bridge in London and will host some of the water industry’s most influential speakers.

Schneider Electric, who recently announced its StruxureWare software solution for the sector, will discuss the power of data for smart water network management. A major part of the debate will focus on how water companies can reduce water loss through utilising data to calculate water pressure and manage leaks.

Their StruxureWare suite for water can help companies to manage and monitor their systems, optimising their current systems, helping to streamline operations and better manage their sites and processes.

Richard Luke, Solution Architect for Water at Schneider Electric, comments: “With increased pressure to freeze utility bills, it is more important than ever for the water industry to look at internal money saving actions.

“We strongly believe that through management of the vast amount of data available from a water system, along with monitoring, automation and optimisation, companies can reduce leaks and better manage pressure and energy consumption. “
