Hitec New CEO

Turning up the heat as a leader in the Dynamic Rotary Uninterruptible Power Supply (DRUPS) market, HITEC Power Protection today announced the company has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer to champion its global vision. With more than 25 years experience building successful global enterprises, Ivo H.L. Mönnink is tasked with introducing HITEC into new vertical markets, broadening the company’s global footprint, and accelerating enhancements in customer-focused, mission-critical power supply technology.

According to industry analyst firm TechNavio, the Global Uninterruptible Power Supply market will experience dramatic growth over the next several years, reaching nearly $10 billion by 2015. The technology is a critical business success factor–central to ensuring high-quality, continuous power for data centers, financial institutions, government services, and ongoing production environments.

With an installed base of nearly 1,700 units worldwide, HITEC has steadily built a reputation as the “go-to” manufacturer of uninterruptible power supplies through its next-generation Dynamic Rotary UPS System, HITEC QPS. Highly scalable with a modular design, the product range is built to reduce plant space with the highest power density per square meter in the industry.

A global thinker with precise market vision, Mönnink is set to take this deep technology leadership one step further. “HITEC doesn’t just manufacture and sell dynamic uninterruptible power supplies – they invented them. For more than 50 years, the company has produced the market’s most advanced solutions for keeping mission-critical infrastructures reliable and running at peak efficiency,” said Ivo H.L. Mönnink, Chief Executive Officer, HITEC Holding. “Based on this solid foundation, we are taking aggressive steps to enhance our marketing and customer focus to power the company’s next stage of growth.”

Prior to HITEC, Mönnink has served with various technology-based companies with an emphasis on change, internationalization and turnaround. He was CEO of Netherlands-based FERM B.V., a top provider of power equipment. He also was Europe Managing Director at Chicago-based Pregis Hexacomb, a provider of innovative packaging solutions. Mönnink brings deep commercial, branding and communications expertise to HITEC, having championed these functions at both Nike and Unilever.
