ARDEX UK is Sad to Announce the death of Alan Batch

Tile Adhesives - Tile Grout - Floor Preparation - Flooring Products

ARDEX UK is sad to announce that Alan Batch, the first Managing Director of the Haverhill based company, died on 19th March 2013, aged 82.

Joining the company on 1st September 1971, Alan developed and guided ARDEX to become a market leading manufacturer of high performance flooring and tiling products, a position that it maintains to this day. Many of ARDEX’s renowned products, including their multi award winning ARDITEX range of smoothing and leveling compounds, fast track screed ARDEX A 35 and ARDEX S 16 tile adhesive were launched under Alan’s directorship.

In 1982, with increasing sales and ambitious expansion plans, Alan implemented ARDEX’s move to its current premises at Homefield Road in Haverhill.

Alan retired from ARDEX in 1997, but was always remembered for his great sense of humour and fairness. He was a true visionary who made alasting mark on the UK flooring and tiling industry and on the lives of the many colleagues he inspired and influenced, family and friends he loved and enjoyed, and the many customers who had the pleasure of dealing with him over the years.
