Eaton is proud to announce its 9PX Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) has been named the top “Energy, Power Protection, UPS” product by the US readers of Control Engineering in the publication’s 2013 Engineers’ Choice Awards.

The 9PX was selected from more than 100 nominations across 29 categories of control, instrumentation and automation products introduced in 2012. Publication staff narrowed nominations into a select list of finalists before industry professionals voted to identify the products they felt were the most exceptional based on technological advancement, service to the industry and market impact.

The 9PX was recognised for its role as an ideal power protection solution for Information Technology (IT) and facility managers operating medium-to-high-density IT equipment in computer rooms and small data centres in industrial, manufacturing, medical and telecommunications applications.

Differentiating itself from competing products, the 9PX provides 28 percent more power than traditional UPSs and is designed to help customers control energy consumption with unmatched power management features and best-in-class efficiency greater than 93 percent. Following stringent third-party testing, the unit’s high efficiency rating contributed to ENERGY STAR® qualification, verifying the 9PX as one of the most efficient UPS products on the market.

Every 9PX includes a network card and Eaton's Intelligent Power software, an innovative pairing of power management and protection software, as well as a graphical LCD interface that provides insight into all power data at the touch of a button.

Winning products were honored on March 18th in Chicago, during the 26th annual Control Engineering Awards dinner and presentation ceremony. Winners were also highlighted in the February 2013 issue of Control Engineering. For more information, visit www.controleng.com/awards.
