Bells Power - 201 Bishopsgate, London

Diesel Generators - Generator Systems - Power Generation - Generator Sets

Bells Power - 201 Bishopsgate Project

Henderson investments have agreed a long term lease in one of London’s tallest most prestigious buildings located in Bishopsgate. The installation posed many obstacles with the positioning of the 500 Tonne crane, due to London Underground tunnels within close proximity of the building and the point loadings. The diesel generator sets were lifted onto the 12 level podiums and assembled on site with leaving the road partially closed to allow for London fire brigade and police to continue their operations.

2 x 1750KVA FG Wilson diesel generator sets, 11kv fitted with Perkins 4016TAG1A diesel engines coupled to Leroy Somer 11,000 volts alternators. The diesel generator sets were installed into separate containers with the HV switchgear with its own container. The container is designed to achieve 54dba@ 40 meters with the sets running.

The site has 2 x 11kv ring mains supplied into the building which needed to be controlled and operated by the Allen Bradley plc system to synchronize the operation of the generator sets on a mains failure a ‘break’ return to mains basis. All fuel systems, HV electrical installation was carried out by our engineers.
