Once a data centre or critical installation is live, how do you keep up-to-date with the most current technology without jeopardising system performance and business continuity?

British manufacturer of precision air conditioning and IT cooling systems, Airedale International, has a solution.

Airedale’s ‘AsNew’ is an on-site refurbishment service which allows customers to upgrade to the most advanced energy-efficient components and controls software without any compromise to system performance during the refit.

In one typical installation, Airedale brought a number of Vodafone’s PAC units up to current standard without any downtime or compromising temperature and humidity in the data centre. To ensure the data centre remained fully operational throughout the refurbishment, work was conducted by Airedale technicians on a unit-by-unit basis to a carefully prepared programme.

‘AsNew’ provides a genuine alternative for businesses concerned about maintaining systems at peak performance where business calendars, budgets and logistical considerations are a limiting factor.
