Honeywell Security - FAAST Aspiration Technology on Show at Firex 2013

Fire Alarms - Aspiration Systems - Fire Detection - Video Surveillance

Honeywell FAAST System

The new FAAST Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technology portfolio from Honeywell will be showcased at this year’s Firex from 13-16 May (Stand N40, Hall 3) at the NEC in Birmingham. Tim Checketts, newly appointed EMEA Sales Manager, Speciality Products, is also presenting a paper entitled ‘New aspiration technologies - changing the shape of fire detection’ at 10.30 on Thursday 16th May as part of the FIREX Academy 2013 Seminar Programme.

The expanding portfolio of aspiration devices includes FAAST, an EN54-20 Class A approved very early warning aspiration system that will alarm long before any visible signs of combustion, and FAAST LT which offers highly effective fire detection for EN54-20 Class B and C applications where standard methods of detection are not the optimum solution. Together, they cover the complete spectrum of fire detection across a wide range of applications.

Launched in 2012, and available through key fire system integration partners, FAAST aspiration detectors are already providing enhanced protection in high profile installations across Europe, covering a variety of industries such as IT Telecoms, data centres, manufacturing and heritage sites.

Tim Checketts commented, “Our aspiration portfolio offers specifiers a choice of solutions to the problem of providing high reliability very early warning fire detection with enhanced false alarm immunity. We are achieving significant traction in the data centre and IT/Telecoms markets, where downtime has a huge impact in terms of lost revenue and reputational damage. FAAST complements our market-leading range of fire detection devices, providing system integration partners with the most advanced, fully integrated solution and peace of mind in any application.”

Delegates at the show will be able to view a live demo of FAAST achieving false alarm immunity.
